I’ll tell you, October is now the most popular month to get married in Michigan. It’s also the biggest crapshoot when it comes to weather. Don’t get me wrong, I love fall in Michigan, but sometimes fall means cold rainy days, which was the case for Brianna and Andrew’s wedding day at Portofino’s Wyandotte.
Despite the weather, Portofino’s was actually the perfect spot to be married: their space is alllllll windows, making the dreary weather seem a lot less harsh. Brianna and Andrew were celebrating their 10th anniversary on their wedding day, so needless to say, nothing was going to stop them from having an amazing wedding day.
The ladies from Bridal Beauty Couture made sure that Brianna and her maids looked absolutely amazing. After some getting ready photos, we headed to Portofino’s for the ceremony.
Brianna had mentioned to me that she really wanted Andrew to cry when she walked down the aisle. He indeed did get choked up (and who wouldn’t, she was a beautiful bride). The ceremony was sweet and contained many personalized elements.
After the two were pronounced husband and wife (finally!), we ran outside for some quick portraits, braving the cold. Honestly, nothing could shake the smiles off the faces of the bride and groom…they finally tied the knot!
A great dance party, filled with lots of kiddos (Andrew and Brianna have two young boys) filled the rest of the reception time and it was so fun to watch! I enjoyed being a part of this day so much and loved the atmosphere at Portofino’s!
