Kaitlynn & Ben – Kent Country Club Couples Session

Last November, I sponsored a giveaway in gratitude of a successful first full year in business. And Kaitlynn won! She decided to use her free session to capture some photos of her and her boyfriend Ben at the Kent Country Club in Grand Rapids, where she worked. We were hoping for snow but we got a foggy, dark January day. No matter. We were able to make use of the inside of club (it’s basically closed up in January so we had it to ourselves).

The Kent Country Club is a beautiful spot and I loved exploring it with these two. They were extremely fun to work with and I adored all of their giggles throughout the session. They were also willing to try out some new prompts I had up my sleeve, as I was trying to decide which I would start using in sessions this year. Thanks, guys, for being my guinea pigs.

I love the idea of using both outdoor and indoor locations for a couples or engagement session. It’s great in the winter when you really don’t want to spend two hours outside with me, but it also gives a sense of variety in the photos. I’m just waiting for another couple like Korrie and Zack, who took me to the bar of their first date!

Look out for possibly another giveaway this fall! Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday after all. 🙂
